Pitt Meadows is located in the Lower Fraser Valley, east of Vancouver with a population of 18,573 (as of 2016). It only became a municipality of Metro Vancouver in 1995. Comprised mostly of agricultural areas with 68% of its land is in a flood plain with 86% of Pitt Meadows lying within the BC Agricultural Land Reserve as protected farmland. Most of the population lives in the high lands of the city centre. Agricultural products include cranberry and blueberry farms, greenhouse crops like cut flowers and peppers, and dairy farming.
The Fraser, Alouette and Pitt rivers isolate Pitt Meadows from the rest of the Lower Mainland.
Transportation – Most residents commute using Translink Bus service or West Coast Express commuter rail service.
Schools – Four elementary schools and one secondary school in the city.

Central Section- has Single-family homes that are also priced high, with some houses on smaller lots.
South Section – Mostly new construction condo and townhome and many of the townhomes include garages. Single-family homes in the area tend to be slightly less than homes in other sections of the city.
