Downtown Vancouver (Central Section) is the southeastern portion of the north-central part of the City of Vancouver. It is the city centre and central business district of Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.
Burrard Inlet bounds the downtown area to the north, Stanley Park and the West End to the west, False Creek to the south, and the Downtown East side to the east. With a population of 60,030 (as of 2016).
Transportation – Six subway stations are running on two SkyTrain lines. The Expo Line and Canada Line travel to the Vancouver International Airport. The SeaBus is a passenger-only ferry to the North Shore in 10–12 minutes. The West Coast Express commuter rail system travels from the Waterfront station to the eastern suburbs and exurbs. Terminals are also available near the Waterfront station for float planes and helicopters.
Gastown – Is the oldest commercial district in Vancouver.
Granville Island – Is a former industrial site is an artsy, posh neighbourhood with quaint shops, cafes and bookstores.
Stanley Park – With its 1,000 acres is North America’s third-largest park sees eight million visitors per year. Walking and biking trails, 11 km sea wall for walking or jogging. An aquarium, nature center and other recreational facilities.
English Bay – Is a beautiful Beach to sit and people watch and enjoy the sun.
