Coquitlam is one area that is part of the Tri-Cities, along with Port Coquitlam and Port Moody. It is scrambling to keep up to its growing population by creating jobs and better public transportation avenues. It has three main sections City Centre, Northwest, Northeast, and Southwest Coquitlam. The population of over 140,000 people.

Schools – School District No. 43 – 45 schools k-5, 14 schools grades 6 -8, and 11 schools grades 9-12.

Como Lake Park – walk around the picnic tables, benches, and washrooms, fishing for Seniors and kids, a wharf, lots of wildlife and fenced kids playground.

Evergreen Cultural Centre – performing arts hub of the Tri-Cities, overlooks Town Centre Park and Lafarge Lake.

Crystal Falls – Is a leisurely walk through a flat forest. 

Poirier Sports & Leisure Complex – It is an excellent gym with a variety of equipment. Admission is reasonable, and the staff is friendly. It offers an indoor Swimming, Ice Hockey, Fitness Gym, Steam Room, Sauna, and a restaurant. 

There are different styles of housing so that everyone can find their perfect house. With a “Housing Affordability Strategy.”

The Southwest Section has single-family homes with larger lots and multi-family homes and apartments, townhouses and condos.

In the Northwest Section, has mostly single-family high-end homes, and apartments closer to downtown. Westwood Plateau has some affordable options

In Northeast Section offers urban or rural settings. Mostly single-family homes, new Construction developments are slated for the future.
